The Centre’s main objectives are to facilitate research, and provide education and training in all aspects of traditional heritage building skills, reducing skills shortages and skills gaps.

Projects

Heritage Building Solutions has a number of significant projects under its belt, including nationally important heritage projects such as the Callington Mill at Oatlands, Australia’s only authentic Georgian Windmill, which has been restored to full working order and operations.

      

Past and Current Projects:

  • Gaolers Residence - 1830’s two storey sandstone residence restored for re-use as accommodation for students of the Centre for Colonial Heritage Conservation and Restoration;

  • SMC forward capital works construction; new facilities that reflect the heritage character of the area;

  • Kempton Watch House;

  • Richmond Court House -  Heritage Building Services completed a comprehensive Conservation Management Plan and carried out the recommended conservation works;
  • Port Arthur - A variety of stonemasonry repairs and restoration.
